A fundamentally different approach to photovoltaic conversion based on the optical field-effect transistor.
Unlike conventional solar cells that use a simple passive PN junction, our technology uses a field-effect transistor (FET) where light acts directly as the gate signal. The DGMOSFET (Double Gate MOSFET) architecture allows active control and amplification of photocurrent, resulting in drastically superior conversion efficiency.
Each SolarModular tile is built with 7 carefully optimized layers to maximize light capture and conversion.
Passive PN junction ? photons generate electron-hole pairs separated by internal electric field. Efficiency limited to 17-24%.
Optical field-effect transistor ? light actively modulates silicon channel conductivity via FeS2 gates, amplifying generated current. Efficiency of 38-52%.
A water cooling channel is machined directly into the aluminum frame of each tile. Water circulates through connected tiles, dissipating heat and maintaining optimal efficiency even in full summer sun. The standard 3/4" fitting adapts to any garden hose.
